2019 MET GALA RED CARPET BEST DRESSED CELEBRITIES

Last Night in NYC was the Met Gala Ball 2019, there were so many outrageous and over-the-top red carpet outfits this year. The theme of the Costume Exhibition was “Camp: Notes on Fashion.” Yes camp, as in exaggerated fashion. The exhibit is inspired by Susan Sontag’s 1964 essay that defines camp as “love of the unnatural: of artifice and exaggeration.” Camp fashion can be humorous, ironic, or simply extreme.

Harry Styles, donned a flamenco-inspired, gender-fluid look. The singer wore a black jumpsuit by the label, in one of the most-searched outfits of the night.

Lady Gaga’s, four outfits she wore to the Met Gala. Arriving in a voluminous bright pink dress, then stripped down to a black gown, pink slip dress and finally into a crystal bra and panties.

Cardi B, showed up in a dramatic burgundy gown that extended into a full quilted circular train.

Celine Dion’s 22-pound gold dress became the topic of Discussion online. And her dress, which took 52 master embroiderers to make. 

Katy Perry, came as a life-sized chandelier with electric candles and dripping with crystals.

Zendaya, As Cinderella, the actress and singer, who wore a transformed dress into a glowing version reminiscent of the iconic baby blue gown worn by Cinderella.

Jared Leto, arrived with a mannequin of his own head, apparently inspired by Gucci’s Fall-Winter 2018 show.

Serena Williams, wore a stunning yellow creation by Atelier Versace on the red carpet – but it was what was underneath that embellished skirt and train that really stole the show. 

Emily Blunt’s, Michael Kors gown was a Met Gala 2019 marathon. and was know It took 1,500 hours to hand-embroider the 510,000 gold sequins and 1,344 gold crystals making up the bold flora pattern on the golden stretch-tulle.

Kendall Jenner, in a tangy orange crystal gown with feathers sprouting down her back and swishing around her ankles.

Kylie Jenner, committed to a full lilac look from purple hair to floor-sweeping feather-laden hemline.

Solange Knowels, wore created a look with unexpected materials while paying homage to the ‘camp’ theme through an exaggeration of python skin, and the masculine structure of the jacket cut paired the thigh-high boots.

Kacey Musgraves, dressed up as Barbie wearing an all-pink Moschino look with perfectly coiffed blond hair. She carried a pink boa, pink cat-eye shades and a hairdryer.

Emily Ratajkowski, wore a custom nude and silver embroidered cut-out gown. She topped off the look with a crystal and feather headpiece by House of Malakai.

Naomi Campbell, stole the show at Valentino’s latest couture catwalk in Paris, which was praised for featuring mostly models of color.

Gigi Hadid, wore a metallic form-fitting catsuit with matching feather cape and headpiece.

Jordan Roth, the president of Jujamcyn Theaters, wore a dramatic cape printed with a scene from inside a theater. Jujamcyn owns several Broadway theaters, including the Eugene O’Neill Theatre, where the musical “The Book of Mormon” plays.

Nick Jonas Priyanka Chopra, Last month, Nick Jonas told “Entertainment Tonight” that his wife, Priyanka Chopra, would “set the tone” for the pair’s Met Gala outfits. Her Haute Couture dress with a rainbow feathered skirt and a thorny crown. Jonas complemented her in a white suit by Dior Men.

Billy Porter, wearing a golden bodysuit and wings;Dressed in a gold bodysuit and matching headpiece, actor Billy Porter made a theatrical entrance, carried onto the red carpet by six shirtless men.
