Another love story of high fashion meets streetwear, J.W Anderson and Converse have collaborated to bring you the first release of their sneaker capsule GLITTER_GUTTER. According to Nike “The unisex collection intentionally dances across the lines of what’s traditionally considered masculine and feminine through bold colors, glam glitter and elevated details across classic Converse styles.”
Coming in a green/black and red/blue colorway, these two tone chucks are definitely holiday ready. Anderson states the release of the capsule collection stemmed from “breaking iconic silhouettes”. His style advice? “ Taking the glitter out of context and wearing it with a pair of washed chinos, for example.” Not only does the collection feature a high and low Chuck ’70 but also the Thunderbolt coming in a pink or green multi colorway.
As of late we’ve seen brands create more gender neutral clothing and the GLITTER_GUTTER collection falls right in line. Who says men can wear glitter? Spotted on Frank Ocean earlier this summer and debuting at the S/S 18 Anderson show, they are finally available to the public.
Trust me when I say these will definitely sell out! Want to avoid the FOMO? Head on over to j-w-anderson.com, Nike.com, Converse.com or in stores at Opening Ceremony, Dover Street Market, Barneys Madison.
