When it comes to being a celebrity, one of the biggest perks you are given, is being able to wear some of the most gorgeous and high-class fashions.
Here at Haute D’ Vie, we took a look at some of the best dressed female celebrities, and we picked our favorite ones. These high-fashion gals really know how to work the camera, and we wanted to share them with you.
So, without further ado, read on to discover the top ten best dressed female celebrities, and let these beautiful and confidant women show you how fashion is done.
Number Ten: Ashley Graham
Graham is an American model who show-cases women’s plus sized clothing. She also served as a lingerie model for clothing company Lane Bryant, and we have to hand to this girl, she has some killer curves!
And the outfit she’s wearing? It’s by none other than J Mendel at the Sportsperson of the Year Awards, and we simply can’t take our eyes of it. The curve hugging dress sports a black sleeveless top that appears to be decorated with shiny sequins. The delicate material cascades down to a blossom pink skirt that reaches just at her knees. To complete the outfit, Graham has chosen a pair of adorable high heeled shoes, and her hair has been curled and parted to one side, giving her both a look of sexiness and confidence.
Number Nine: Natalie Dormer
Dormer is a British born actress, best known for playing Anne Boleyn, second wife of Henry VIII, and Queen of England from 1533-1536, on the TV series “The Tudors,” (probably her best performance ever) She is also recognized for playing Queen Magarey Tyrell on “Game of the Thrones”, her last appearance being in the final episode of season 6.
If there is one color Dormer looks like a queen in, it’s red. Doesn’t matter what shade it is. It can be a light red or a dark red, and she will rock it like no tomorrow. In fact, we’re even picturing a crown atop her head.
Here, she is seen at the Evening Standard British Film Awards in a stunning shade of, yep, you guessed it, red. The gown is a halter-top style, flowing gracefully down to Dormer’s feet, like a deep red waterfall. Her hair has been cut into a stylish curled bob that has been combed delicately to the side. She’s wearing no jewelry, save for a pair of tiny studs but with the gown she’s wearing, there’s absolutely no need, and we applaud the choice she made. Jewelry would have only distracted the viewer’s eyes from the magnificent shade of the gown. It just goes to show that a little certainly goes a long way.
On that note, we’re thinking of writing Dormer a letter, asking her to just wear red for the rest of her life.
Number Eight: Pixie Lott
Pixie Lott dresses in both elegance and style at the 2016 BBC Music Awards. We’re really digging the off the shoulder with see-through collar style of this beautiful floor length gown. The gown is composed of sheer black fabric over a light brown slip. Silver sequins adorn the entire length of the gown, and the entire look is finished off with a thick black belt.
Lott’s blonde hair had been styled into fresh flirty girls, giving this look a mixture of both fun and glamorous.
Number Seven: Mandy Moore
Mandy Moore certainly shined at the 2016 Critics Choice Awards with this number. The color of the floor length body hugging gown pays a great tribute to the color of a sapphire, which does a great job in highlighting Moore’s wavy reddish brown hair. The neck line of the dress is low, exposing cleavage, and Moore is wearing a long necklace to enhance this feature. The sides of the dress, just below her breast-bone are split, revealing just a bit of skin.
Number Six: Zendaya
Zendaya made her presence known at the 2016 Footwear Achievement Awards. However, our attention isn’t on her feet, but on her dress.
And what a dress it is. Hanging just inches below her knees, giving way to a hem that bunches up in delicate frills at the bottom the black material certainly does quite well to compliment Zendaya’s petite frame. A thick black belt encircles her waist, giving the dress an appropriate accessory.
There’s a reason why many designers choose the color black, and that’s because it pairs well with everything.
Number Five: Margot Robbie
Margot Robbie got her big break playing Naomi, the wife of Jordan Belfort (Leonardo Dicaprio) in “The Wolf of Wall Street.” She is also known for playing the girlfriend and sidekick of The Joker, Harley Quinn in the film, “Suicide Squad.”
Ms. Robbie has graced events in a variety of colors, and this time, at the Gotham Independent Film Awards, she opted to go with an angelic white.
What can we say? She does look rather angelic in this outfit, with its floor length hem and long sleeves (think opposite of Harley Quinn. If you’ve seen “Suicide Squad”, you’ll what we mean.) There are no extravagant details to the gown, but Robbie’s beauty only accentuates it. She does add a bit of jewelry though; a single ring, large enough to be visible. In her hands, she carries a small, golden clutch.
The outfit she wears is not too subtle, but not to extreme, proving that beauty can lie in the simplest of things.
Number Four: Bella Thorne
There is only one word we can use to describe Bella Thorne’s gown, and that word can only be: wow.
The gown consists of a two-tone half sheer black, half silver sequined material that juts out towards the black, like lightning bolts. The dress flows down to a pair of strappy high heels. As if that wasn’t enough, the back of the dress plunges down, giving the gown a rather sultry look.
Like it wasn’t already sultry enough.
You can clearly see as much skin as possible in this little get up, but hey, we admire a woman with a level of confidence that says yes to something like this.
Number Three: Gigi Hadid
Supermodel Gigi Hadid made an appearance at the 2016 British Fashion Awards, absolutely slaying it with the outfit she chose to wear that very night.
The designer of this number decided to combine both a glamorous gown and sleek pants of silver, and what we got was proudly shown off by Hadid.
One side of the gown revealed Hadid’s bare shoulder, trailing down to a sea-shell like neck line. The other side consists of a thick strap that rose upwards towards her head, wrapping itself around her neck. The ensemble cascaded down towards her waist, where the same silver material had been wrapped around it.
The skirt of the gown opens up to reveal long pants of the same color. The ensure the entire look was perfect, Hadid included a pair of strappy silver heels, that we must say just add to the sexiness and sophistication of the outfit.
We wonder if she’ll tell us where we can get something like it.
Number Two: Kate Beckinsale
Best known for her role as Selene in the “Underworld” series, Kate Beckinsale was another celeb that was out and about at the 2016 Critics Choice Awards.
We have to hand it to Beckinsale: when she decided adorn this gown, she chose right. Two velvety black sleeves puff up at her shoulders, leading to a silvery beaded bodice that split down the middle, traveling all the way down to her waist. The silver beading cascaded gently in all different directions of the sheer skirt, making it look exactly like the night sky.
Number One: Fan Bingbing
Here at Haute D’ Vie, we believe that fashion rests in all cultures and diversities, and that everyone, no matter where you were born, can be a fashion icon.
Readers, say hello to Fan Bingbing.
A Chinese actress, she has appeared in many films, including “The Peanuts Movie,” (she played Sally Brown, sister of Charlie Brown) and “Iron Man 3.” Bingbing’s gown certainly managed to turn heads at the 2016 Golden Horse Awards, in its regal shade of midnight blue with subtle violent undertones, by designer Elie Saab (Saab has dressed numerous celebrities, including Reese Whitherspoon, Christina Aguilera, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Celine Dion). The gown was strapless, and the bodice of the gown had been delicately folded to gracefully give the illusion of ripples. A thigh high slit gave a sexy yet classy look into Bingbing’s smooth and slender legs, and resting on her hip was a large brooch adorned with beads and feathers. It almost resembles a snow flake, making us think that Saab was giving a nod to winter when he designed this gown.
And if you think you’ve seen this gown before, you probably have, as it was showcased at the Winter 2016 Paris Fashion Awards.
And those are our picks for the top ten best dressed female celebrities. Each of these ladies has graced the red carpet with glamour, confidence and style. And judging by the looks on their faces, they know it, too.
