Daisy Balloon is duo of two very talented artists from Japan – a balloon artist Rie Hosokai and an art director/graphic designer Takashi Kawada. Together they are making the world their stage, traveling the globe to exhibit their unique style of balloon art. Rie’s passion for balloon decorating began in 2002 and won numerous awards in Japan and around the world. She uses latex balloons to create these adorable dresses that can be worn only for 24 hours before they deflate and change color in hot weather. The latex balloons are inflated and hand-woven in different directions both vertically and horizontally, creating a texture similar to fabric.
Haute D’ Vie would like to show you very unusual dresses, making their world stage, this balloon unit travels the globe to exhibit their art.
