Gucci has just unveiled its Pre-Fall 2017 collection. Set at the Antica Libreria Cascianelli, Antica Spezieria di Santa Maria della Scala, and the Biblioteca Angelica in Rome, the looks were photographed by Derek Ridgers.
The collection itself is classic new-wave Gucci, comprised of plentiful plaids, rainbow knit sweaters, and suits and silk bombers adorned with tigers, birds, and other animal embellishments for which designer Alessandro Michele has come to be known. The clothes are as cheeky as they are forward-thinking and intelligently-designed, the latest feat in Michele’s continuing reign as the designer most adept at capturing fashion’s current romantic and playful mood. Our favorite piece? The UFO sweater.
