For the fifth year in a row Singapore’s Changi Airport has been named “world’s best airport” at the annual Skytrax World Airport Awards.
The awards, announced during a ceremony in Amsterdam on March 14, are based on millions of international passenger surveys.
The airport has won over 533 awards since 1981, including 26 “Best Airport” awards in just 2016 alone. Changi Airport’s efforts to mitigate the effects of ageing infrastructure include continual physical upgrades to its existing terminals and building new facilities to maintain its reputation for setting standards in airport service quality.
Among the amenities spread through its three terminals are two 24-hour movie theaters screening the latest blockbusters for free, a rooftop swimming pool and a butterfly garden, cactus garden, children’s playground, a shower & spa in addition to many more facilities! A fourth terminal has just been completed and is due to open in the second half of this year.
More than just an airport; Singapore Changi Airport is a destination in its own right. Whether it’s stretching your legs on the nature trail or relaxing in the soothing butterfly garden; you’ll enjoy your transit experience with us so much that you’ll wish you could stay longer.
