The singer comes as a surprising, but welcome, addition to the Dior Homme family.
For its latest ad campaign, Dior Homme taps Boy George and Rami Malek. The latter should come as no surprise given his recent leading role buzz with the television series Mr Robot. Dior Homme has previously featured heartthrob Robert Pattinson in its campaign imagery.
The inclusion of Boy George, though, seems refreshingly out of left field. On the pick, the brand’s designer, Kris Van Assche says, “I really tried to translate what I think Dior Homme is right now. It’s about music, it’s about cinema, it’s about fashion…Boy George, when I was a kid, was one of the first to have this message about difference being okay; he was such a major influence on my generation. That idea of freedom and being a rebel—which he still is—is really something that has stayed with me.”
Model Ernest Klimko and rapper A$AP Rocky also appear in the ad campaign. This marks the second time Rocky has appeared as a face of Dior Homme. The brand launched its Instagram today in tandem with the release.
